A PUNISHING TORNADO
Tuesday, July 31st, 2007With big fights being made left and right as of late, allow me to touch on a fight that already happened earlier this month. The night was July 14 and the fight was Paul Williams against Antonio Margarito, the fight was viewed by most observers as a close fight. Even though I had it 116-112 for the Punisher it still seemed a little closer than that coming into the final stretch. With Miguel Cotto off the menu for Margarito and with Kermit the Killer Cintron off the menu for Williams then why not do it again sometime in mid-October? The public would love to see it, I for one feel that Margarito is capable of making a few small adjustments and possibly win the next time around.
Just imagine the lineup if you may, The Punisher vs. The Tornado 2 the rematch in October followed by Mosley vs. Cotto in November and Mayweather vs. Hatton in December. The best way to match these matches up afterwards would bring us all an exciting 2008 as well. How? Well for starters how about the winner of Mosley/Cotto to fight the winner of Mayweather/Hatton, then the winner of Margarito/Williams to face Kermit Cintron. Williams / Cintron would no doubt be a special clash but a Margarito/Cintron 2 would be a war. Cintron will be out to prove that the first fight was just a fluke and Margarito will be out to show that he can crush a killer again. Time to head for the basement for a Punishing Tornado may soon be approaching.
