Albert, what would you say Kermit Cintron’s next move should be? I think that he can beat any other welterweight other than Margarito. Hector,Guadalupe

Hector, I feel that Kermit will be a very live dog against any welterweight out there, not sure if he beats them all as you think he can. If I’m Kermit I sit back and watch the Clottey/Judah fight closely and face the winner of that match. If Judah beats Clottey, I think that Kermit will knock Judah out Kostya Tszyu style [with the dance]. If Clottey wins, it will be a war between Clottey and Kermit. It will be a pick em fight between Clottey and Kermit, the only bad thing for Kermit is that if Margarito defeats Cotto, well you know the rest. In my opinion I feel that Kermit should make a move to 154 and bring some fireworks to that division. At 154, I feel that Kermit can make a whole lotta noise there, Kermit’s tall stature will allow him to move up and bring that power up to 154 with him.

Albert I would love to see a Vazquez/Marquez war again, the trilogy they had was the best I have ever seen, do you think that it will happen? David Ortiz, Mesa

David, thanks for writing in. I must agree with you that the Vazquez/Marquez trilogy was the best that I have ever seen myself, in fact some boxing historians share the same feelings as you and I. In my opinion however, I feel that a Vazquez/Marquez War For Four is not needed. The reason for that is based purely on the safety of both fighters. It took alot out of both fighters mentaly and especialy physicaly. Besides, say Marquez wins the fourth, then it will be dead even at 2 wins a piece, so then they will have to have a tie breaker and do it again for a fifth time. Five of these wars will be brutal even for us to see.

I recently read your interview with Steve Forbes, I liked it alot, do you really think that Forbes can beat Hatton? Tim, Tempe.

Tim, if you saw the Hatton/Lazcano fight as I did then it shouldn’t be a question if Forbes can beat Hatton. No diss on Lazcano but Forbes is a cagey crafty fighter, 2 things that Lazcano clearly is not. Forbes was able to trade shot for shot against Oscar fighting out of his best fighting weight, so what do you think will happen when he faces Hatton at his best fighting weight? Maybe I am seeing too much into Hattons last performance, but I feel like Mayweather may have took some of that spark that Hatton had. Hatton needs to get his mojo back, he needs to strike while the iron is hot, and right now Forbes would be that iron. Forbes is now bigger than ever now that he has faced Oscar, so a Forbes/Hatton clash would be big, alot bigger than Malignaggi/Hatton since my boy Paulie also failed to impress in his last outing. I would pick Forbes to beat Hatton by UD.

Albert you seem to be a fan of punchers, my dad says that Sonny Liston was the hardest puncher ever, what do you think? Devin

Devin, This is a hard question for me to answer. There have been alot of hard punchers. Tyson, Liston, Foreman, Duran, Chavez, Pac-man, Lamatta, too many to choose from. Liston from what I have seen and mainly heard hit like how Cotto hits now, and that is with hard heavy shots that eventually wear you down. If we are looking for one shot Knock out power, I would say in my opinion it will have to be between Tyson and Tommy ‘’the Hitman'’ Hearns. We all know what Tyson could do, but Hearns power in my eyes was overlooked only cause he fought mainly in the Mike Tyson heavyweight of knockouts era. Hard question to answer, thanks for writing in.

Do you think that Stevie Forbes can beat Nate Campbell at lightweight? Eric, Phoenix

Eric, that would be an excellent fight. If Forbes can make the weight and be strong at the weight, Campbell would be in for a long night. In fact if Casamayor fights someone like Juan Manuel Marquez, Marquez who by the way is planning to follow Pac-Man to lightweight, that would put Juan Diaz against Katsidis, and that would leave the man with the major belts at 135 Mr. Campbell waiting for an opponent. If that happens and if Forbes can get Campbell in the ring, Boy o boy that fight can in fact become a reality. Forbes beating Campbell which I think he can, will then make Forbes the man to see at 135.
