A2ZBOXING MAILBAG
Friday, August 29th, 2008Hey there a2zboxing, with Oscar fighting Manny in December, I am going on record now to say that Manny will defeat Oscar and pull off one of the best upsets ever. Mike,Chandler,Az
Well Mike in my opinion it takes alot of guts in making the prediction that you just made, I on the other hand disagree 100%. Even with Oscar being out of his prime, I feel that Oscar will be too much for Pac-Man. If Oscar brings his B-game, Oscar will get Manny out of there in 8, If Oscar is on point, Oscar will execute the Mexecutioner inside 5 action packed rounds.
Hey guys who do you like in the fight between Casamayor and Marquez? Eric, Glendale
Eric it will be a battle between 2 great counterpunchers, who is the better counterpuncher of the 2? Who will be the first to switch to plan b? In my opinion Casamayor is one of the best in the world at being able to fight while moving backwards so even if Marquez plans on leading it will not be a problem for Casamayor to still counter. Marquez on the other hand is a great tactical fighter, however at times when he is forced to box moving backwards he seems to look a little uncomfortable in there. In this fight it’s really hard to say who would win, I am going to pick Casamayor based on the fact that we have never seen Marquez at 135.
Albert, I am willing to bet that Juan Diaz will knock out Katsidis in three rounds then he will wait for Pacquiao at lightweight. Dan, Scottsdale
The Diaz and Katsidis fight will be a toe to toe affair from beginning to end, I for one am hoping that it goes for more than the 3 rounds that you are picking for the fight to finish. If Diaz does defeat Katsidis which by the way I expect him to do, I feel that the next big fight for Diaz will be the winner of Casamayor/Marquez or Campbell/Guzman. Once Oscar dismantles Manny it would be wise for Manny to ease his way back down to 140 then to 135, If Manny jumps from 147 right back down to 135 it will be a huge mistake.
Where do you guys think Judah should go from here? Ron,Phoenix
Ron I feel that Zab is asking himself that very same question. I feel that even though Zab has lost his last 2 fights, Zab is still in position to be in position, that may not make sense to alot but to the ones that get it, let’s explain anyway. I think that we can all agree that regardless of Zab being a 6 round fighter or not, Zab’s style is still exciting to see, Zab is still a name, a name that guys like Berto, Collazo, and Quintana would love to have on their resumes. Zab might even be in position to try his luck at 140 and tangle with the likes of Hatton, Malignaggi, Holt, or Ricardo Torres. Just because Zab is no longer in the light doesn’t mean that he is no longer in the fight.
