Will the real Oscar opponent please stand up!
When negotiations went underway to try and work out a deal for a mega fight between 2 of the most popular fighters in recent years began, many fans thought that it was a done deal. Today we find out that the deal is in fact done but it’s pretty much dead meat on the table. The meat was over cooked. I feel that in the end team Pac-Man found out that they in fact did have alot more to lose after all. Why lose to Oscar in a brutal knockout only to then move back down to 135 and face one of the top dogs there? One had to notice the talks that began by team Pac-man in first saying that they will knock out Oscar then to recently saying that win, lose, or draw they have nothing to lose, that a loss to Oscar would do no harm to Manny’s legacy. After all why would team Pac-man turn down a 70-30 split? That 70-30 split was the same split that Floyd Mayweather Jr. who by the way has a ego bigger than Pac-mans entire body took last year when he faced Oscar. Still that 70-30 split still gave Floyd his biggest payday and it would have easily also given Pac-man his biggest payday as well. May I also remind you that Floyd helped sell some tickets by talking a big game now I know that he didn’t fight like he talked but he still did a hell of a job helping promote the big event. Could Pac-man with his humble self have helped promote the event like Floyd did? I think we all know the answer to that. I still feel that Floyd is training for the world awaits part 2, I could be wrong but in any case will the real Oscar opponent please stand up!!!
